prayer

It’s still dark outside…

This morning my house is very quiet. It’s dark outside. Normally by now,  I am drinking a second, (or third) cup of coffee, sitting outside, and the dogs are playing ball. Not today. With the time change approaching, there is no sunrise to watch. But it will rise. The time change always reminds me of the things not seen.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Mornings are dark and the day is hidden away. I know the sun will rise in its own time; just like I know, this day is already planned for me by God. He might have divine appointments already set that I don’t know. He might have someone that really needs my prayers today. The unseen has become my joy. No matter what it is; God has it for His use in me. To build me up not tear me down. I’m not afraid of the dark. The sun will break through and rise. I will stand tall, praying, praising God, giving thanks and seeking His wisdom that I will see the unseen.

I’m going to embrace this darkness. Im going to press into this day and call the unseen as seen. That I might store up heavenly treasures that will never fade away. I’ll see the sunrise and with the same faith; I’ll meet this day with joy and thanksgiving! Praising God for the unseen.

Psalm 100:4-5 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
